During
the months of May and June we target King Salmon in Kachemak Bay
and Cook Inlet from Homer, Alaska. These trips can be a combination
salmon and halibut trip. We will be trolling for salmon in 40 - 80
feet of water using herring bait, inline rods, and electric downriggers.
King Salmon average from 5 - 45 lbs with an occasional larger fish
being caught. The limit is 2 per day and five fish for the season.
In
August we switch our attention to feisty Silver Salmon. These fish
are great fighters with powerful, above the water dances. You will
appreciate the spacious deck of The Diamond Cape when battling these
fish. The limit is three per day with no season limits. This trip
can also be a combination halibut trip.
